Patrick O’Donoghue

Patrick O’Donoghue is a Solicitor who joined the firm in October 2015. Patrick qualified as a Solicitor in 2004 having completed his apprenticeship with Murphy & Condon Solicitors in Cork city, subsequently spending 10 years with O’Donovan Murphy & Partners, The Quay, Bantry, Co. Cork before moving to Galligan Johnston Solicitors, 15 Clanwilliam Terrace, Dublin 2.

Patrick has extensive experience in the following areas:

Advising purchasers and vendors on all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing;
Buying and selling of distressed properties;
Advising developers with respect to the acquisition, setting up and disposal of developments;
Acting on behalf of landlords and tenants with respect to residential and commercial leases;
Mortgaging properties and restructuring mortgages on behalf of clients;
Dealing with numerous applications in the Property Registration Authority on behalf of clients;
Advising on all elements of probate from the drafting of the Will up to the extraction of the Grant and ultimate administration of the estate;
Preparing and registered Enduring Power of Attorney.

Education and Professional Membership

Patrick graduated from University College Cork (UCG) with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in 1996. He obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from University College Cork in 1998 and in 2001 completed a postgraduate Law Degree in University College Cord. Patrick was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in February 2004 and is a member of the Law Society of Ireland.
